Typhoons, Stars, Phoenix and a strange dream with Piolo.

Typhoon Ondoy Shmondoy.
Ages have passed since I last updated this blog.  It seems like the older I get, the less time I have to devote on whimsical things like filling the internet void with stuff that preoccupies me. The mere idea of blogging is closely tied to one of entitlement; a feeling which, I [...]

Kunstbar – A short film

I stumbled upon this short film when I was browsing linked blogs on the New Yorker.  This animated short is for all purveyors and patrons of fine art all over – from Picasso to Michelangelo, to Munch – this film is a hilarious pun on our preconceptions on their art, the weird things that they [...]

Currently Channeling: Georges Barbier

I am currently drawn to the fashion illustrations of Georges Barbier. His noveau-inspired style, his feminine silhouette provide an interesting, refreshing alternative to a lot of contemporary art I’ve been exposed to.

Postcard Project officially Launched!

I had this interesting art idea of sending a set of postcards to my friends, as a means of spreading my art. Hopefully it brightens their days as they have brightened mine.
All these are handmade with watercolor pencils  and thick watercolor paper.
They are nature-inspired, with saturated colors. They’re very sunny and happy.

I’m looking [...]

James White’s blog – Paid Content??

I’m blogging this afternoon (despite my humongous number of office tasks to be accomplished) because I’m very sad to announce that James White’s blog , Signalnoise.com – will be on a subscriber basis.
Officially  sponsored by Budweiser, I reckon this blog will be a venue for other things – like Budweiser events and Budweiser related artworks. [...]

I almost forgotten about this one.

I almost forgot about this entry to Eastern Telecom.
Strange thing is, I never even received any verification from them ( at least, upon acceptance of my entry, right?!)
I was pretty optimistic about this piece of work because – I really did spend much time planning and revisiting tiny details to execute the concept. Bah. I [...]
