I found this incredibly interesting site called “Inspire Me Thursday“.Every week, there would be a little snippet of something to reflect on or inspiration for artwork (and the liberty to post your link too!) Last week’s topic revolved around 2008 resolutions.. So here we go!

My New Years Resolutions for 08:

1. Challenge myself constantly- whether its a web project or a doodle, creativity always matters. I’ve learned that this craft requires much more than an occasional spark of ideas; its a constant devotion to creating things that matter.
   How do I intend to do this: occasional freelance opportunities, probono work, doodles, illustrations, participation in a lot of online activities
2. Learn not to have a heavy heart when spending money. - money comes and goes. although i may be a little bit over board now with my budget, i should learn to live peacefully and realize that I am very blessed as it is.
3. Understand, and not judge other people - for their work, for the way they live, etc. I must exercise this everyday.
4. Meditate / spend moments of silence within each day. - calms my nerves. Really.
5. replace coffee with tea? green tea to be exact.
6. clean up my clutter - keep my desk clutter free.
7. answer emails only in the morning, and stay off online activities on the weekends.

I should stop

1. drinking too much? hehe. vices are always bad.
2. overeating/ then feeling guilty about it.
3. obsessing about my weight issues, issues about my family, relationship. realize that i’m already very blessed with what i have.
4. i should stop accepting work without downpayment cause i’ve had several clients in 2007 who never paid up, or terminated the work without notice. You should be ashamed of yourselves!
5. avoiding my friends/being a loner for the most part.

I wish for:

1. more savings
2. collaboration - artworks
3. artworks in other media (textile, furnitures, bags, what nots)
