Well, I’m writing this entry as a response to the overwhelming dreams I’ve been having in the past few months. Sometimes, they come in jolts - with themes, with episodes ranging from lust, anger, pain, sadness. Sometimes my dreams are too vivid that I feel like I’m watching a digital movie in real time.
I guess anyone who’s known me long enough could pick on the idea that i absolutely LOVE saturated colors and the grainy effect of old school film. I miss video as a medium, and I’m hoping that sometime soon I can get my hands on a video camera again - In the meantime, I’ve preoccupied myself with shooting using my simple point and shoot camera. (There’s still a lot of untapped potential in point-and-shoot digital cameras- I still have yet to discover its wonders) :D

Well, I did this for fun over the weekend.Hope you enjoy the yellows:D
Blogging.
Well, actually i didn’t ride on the bandwagon just because it became hip all of a sudden. I used to blog using the (back then) primitive xanga which probably had a fraction of the functionality and ease of use we now enjoy in wordpress, livejournal or blogger.
I heard about blogging through Sir Allan Rono who, at that time, was the famed Atenean guy who taught young catholic schoolgirls how to debate. At that time, He probably thought i was a weakling because I gave weak speeches, I was frantic, I was a mess. (Well, I still am a mess, In a sort of more like-able manner.) I later realized that the taste of debating in highschool was a far cry from the reality that college offered. It was a ‘tweetums’ period, where people liked hearing you because of good rhetoric - most of the time, we were judged according to manner and not depth of content.
So, years after ranting about boys, highschool and baduy music of the 90’s era, I transferred to Livejournal. I think the move was done in 2002 or 2003. Then the soap opera commenced, I was a ravenous blogger, eager to fill in my internet void with my speech. I updated the blog with rants about college, dating, make-up, etc.
Of course, there came the fights of so called boyfriends who got upset each
time I would disclose my thoughts.Of course, there were countless moments of self pity, debate musings, philosophical musings and existential angst. Generally speaking, blogging helped me developed my skills as a thinker. I analyzed books, I talked about anything and everything. There would be dry spells, but all in all, I wouldn’t let 2 weeks pass without posting an entry. Even a short one.
Yesterday, I found out that my office was flocked by the blogging prowess of Ms. Liz Buenaflor , Richmond, and Ric. Wow. I thought. Some of these people actually even earn from their blogs. Their blogs are optimized for search engines.
————————————————————————————————–
Wow. Liz’ website has been updated to grey goodness. I love this new grey, i find it yummy indeed.

Richmond has a different take on it. Lots of ads, Lots of content:

And Lastly, I also saw project manila - another artsy officemate ( the white! I lovve it!)

Well, I hope one day i would have the patience, goodwill and cheer to update my blogs as often as I should.
To profit from it.. Hmm. I don’t know yet. Maybe i’m just a lazy ass. Maybe its a tad bit philosophical for me.
Blogging, its nature and its predestination in my head, has always been about sharing information for nothing in return. Venting out angst. A technologically - driven process of catharsis. I mean, we all have day jobs - in its very essence and form, we are in some cosmic way - a sell out to capitalism. It makes me beg the question of whether profiting from your blog is another intrusion to this little space that I call my sanctuary from the capitalist constructs of society.
Hmmm. I hope to find out soon. I’m keeping this blog semi-personal as of now. I don’t think i have a lot of visitors just yet. I like posting my works and showcasing them. Thats about it. Hehehe.
i had lots of fun making this template. I hope you guys enjooyy the citrussy goodness as well.

I almost forgot that i actually submitted my old site to screenalicious. I stumbled upon it in google. (Awww. ) I only got 2 stars, because, well because the old site did seem pretty bland. But it was pretty neat to say the very least.
but looking back at it now, i’d say that it almost seems anemic. (Pop in ferrous sulfate pills, why don’t ya’ ) I resubmitted this updated site again, hoping for better things.
Oh. And my old site already got terminated. Phoey. I didn’t even receive an email that my payments were past due.
Ps. I love the way this screenalicious site used the font Trajan Pro. Kudos to the tasteful use of Serifs!
